WHOA - Sounds Like Dodge Is Making an Electric Muscle Car

Jun 14th 2021

Check this out - according to DriveTribe, Dodge is reportedly aiming to beat the Tesla Model S Plaid with its own version of an electric muscle car that could be shown as early as 2022.

Sounds like it won't be an upgraded Challenger - it'll be something completely new, using a new electric-only platform. Guessing it'll be from their stash of old car names - could it be the Barracuda, with a 1971-style grille? The Charger, re-named? Electric Viper? Lancer? What about the little-known Matador?

Whatever it is, we'll probably want one if it can go 0-60 in under 2 seconds.

If this is how Dodge is using their Stellantis money from FCA's fusion with Peugeot, we're a big fan. Of course, DedicatedAutomotive.com will have the best parts possible to make this electric muscle car even better as soon as they become available.
